"Aunty?"
"What?"
"Aunty?"
"Whaaat?
"Aunty?"
"Whaaaaat?"
"Aunty?"
"Eh apa kan?!"
Then I realised that my nephew wasn't asking for me. He was just repeating the word again and again because he is still learning to speak. That's how he learns words and stringing sentences.
One day, out of the blue he asked me, "Aunty, you like boys?" I was so baffled by the question that I could only manage to say "What kind of a question is that?" But my nephew insisted to know my preference.
So I decided to do some experiment to check if his moral compass is pointing the right direction. "Aunty like girls, can?"
"No cannot!"
Phew! He's on the right track or so I thought.
"Cannot! Aunty like women!"
So for a few days he kept going around the house saying that I'm a homo. A note to myself, never ever try to teach a four yr old about sexual preference!
HApPy BiRthDay to Wan Md. EmrE.
With LOve,
Aunty.
