"Terima Kasih. Berpahala kita."

Such a common saying in Brunei. For instance, if someone wants you to fetch something, he or she would say, "Ambilkan tu. Basar pahalamu" but I never believed that besar pahala part. I've always doubted the sincerity of that person. In my mind, I believe that since the phrase is so common,the meaning becomes somewhat lost. People just say it to get what they want.

However I haven't heard that phrase in a long while, so when someone said it to me today with so much sincerity and kindness, it meant quite a lot.
