Today is the last day of the term and outside our staffroom were rows of kids lining up as if waiting for royalty. One opens the door just enough to show his or her face and beckons the teacher to come outside.
"Chicheer, we're very sorry!"
"What on earth for?" asked my Kiwi colleague. He was very puzzled. He tried so hard to explain that there were no hard feelings but the girls were really adamant. "Sirrrr..we're really sorry!" Finally, kiwi gave in.
This asking for forgiveness should happen everyday!
